The expiration date that appears on packaged food is confusing to some people, largely as a result of words used, such as "Best Before," "Sell By" or "Use By." Is food still safe to eat on that date, or slightly after that date? Let's think about saving cash by understanding what that expiration date indicates. Check more here.

Expired - yes Rotten - no

Expiration date - is a date to which foodmaker guarantees it is eatable. Most of the food after expiration date is still good to eat, without a risk of food poisoning

I have emetophobia (a fear of vomit) and even I eat certain food late.

Joey, as do I.

And yes I have but thankfully, my immune system is keeping out the bacteria.

Haha. I hope the people who refuse to eat expired food change their mind at some point. A lot of food is fine for at least a few days after the "eat by" date. Seriously, I have emetophobia (a fear of vomit) and even I eat certain food late.

Expire dates are not set in stone so yes. For example you can drink milk a few days after it's "expired", especially if it hasn't been out of the fridge and is unopened.
Seriously I have friends who dumpster-dive and find fresh bread and vegetables and stuff. If you've stored the food properly and it smells and looks nice it's flipping stupid to throw it away because of a date on the packaging.

There is no expiry date on food here except spices and artificial foods and as far as rotten goes I have tasted to see if it's eat able but haven't eaten it completely.

Often eat expired food. All you have to do is look at it, the expiration date is just made by the companies to insure themselves, rightly of course.
