I voted umbrella but it's very rare that I use either. I like rain. I brought an umbrella yesterday and it stopped raining as soon as I stepped outside.

It has to be raining extremely hard... for me to pull out an umbrella...mostly i just rock my hoodie...

Rain Coat of course. If it is constantly raining, My arm gets tired of holding up an umbrella.

I don't do either, but I'm more like to do a rain coat, unless I am back at college, then I'd use an umbrella.

If I'm already out of the house, which is so often the case, I can't magically sprout either. I'll ignore the rain if it isn't heavy, or I'll put my hood up if it is (/if there's a wind with it).
Otherwise, if I do step outside prepared, I'll take an umbrella - but that rarely happens, possibly because I'm lazy.
