No, I haven't, but my classmate in the eleventh grade once said he was late because "his time machine was broken so he couldn't make it to class on time." It's my favorite excuse ever.

I'm not one to be late often, if at all, but if I am, I don't make excuses. Which is odd given my deceptive skillz

only instance I can recall being late was for lab this semester. ~40minutes, professor asked if anything was wrong. I didn't want to say I overslept because my alarm didn't go off, so I replied in mumblarian

Yesterday I was late for Chemistry class and I told my teacher I had a baseball tournament in Germany and I just got back.

My craziest excuse was - there was a truck of toilet paper that flipped on I-40 and I couldn't get past it, all 4 lanes were blocked, it took an hour to get through, and that's why I'm 15 minutes late.

-- my lab teacher locked the door 2 minutes before class started.

No. I do the exact opposite. I thought most people did. Why would you make up something crazy? Then your boss very well may not buy it.

I am rarely ever late to anything. However, if I do happen to be late, I am always honest about my reason for being late. If I am ever late, it is usually because I want to.

The best ones are the ones that make you look heroic. I told my boss that some twats had smashed some glass outside my house and since I live on a road with a school I had to clear it up. Lateness and a possible medal.

Told my english teacher I was mugged by gypsies in grade 11... he just laughed at me and told me to sit down instead of going to get detention slip.

I don't like being late, I find it frustrating and rude. It's either on time or early.

Although, I have been late a few times. I don't usually give an excuse, but I think I may have used, "I couldn't find my keys" before. And that is as crazy as my excuse skills are.

I have never had a reason to make up excuses for being late, I'm never late. And if I'm late, I just tell the real reason why it's so.
