Yeah, I know about a lot of older music because of my Dad and we have hours-long conversations about music.

My mother's taste in music is questionable. Her favourite bands are Panic at the Disco and My Chemical Romance.. you'd think she's a little post-hardcore/emocore 13 year old girl or something. Although she will listen to whatever I listen to, except metal.

I don't think they have bad taste. My dad's very into classical music, and my mum's pretty much all over the place - a bit like me.

Surprisingly, they do. When talking about old latin music they have pretty good taste on songs and stuff..And they really like those old but great songs in english eventho they have no idea what the lyrics say. Hehe.

My dad tries to get into the music I listen to. I think it's one of his attempts to bond with me or something. So if I like something, he puts it on his ipod and pretends that he knows all about it and that he's cool.

Yeah... my dad sings along to backstreet boys and mcfly. A little sad, but I guess it's just another sign that he loves me.

Yeah, for the most part. Well, they like a wide variety. My mum loves anything from Classical to R 'N' B to Rock and Metal. My dad likes the classics from each decade going back fifty years, including cheesy songs - awesome. He's also into R 'N' B and Dance, which isn't great, but oh well. The only type neither like is songs mostly consisting of screaming.

For the most part, yes. I know a lot about older music because of my dad and what not. As for my mom, her favorite band is Rush which is kick ass. But other than that, she just listens to country and I'm just not that into it.

mine. they listen to the kind I grew up with... they have from the start liked rock.. you know I grew up with Some Ac/Dc playing in the background. and they do like some good country music. like the old stuff, nothing new. that stuff is not good to them. but they have the same taste of mine... which is cool I guess.

My mom has very good taste in music if I do say so myself! I listen to some of the best stuff from the 80s because of her! The only one that is a little questionable is the beegees. lmao.
