47,943 posts	Ignoring the bad grammar.. I would most likely try and catch it, unless it was something dangerous .. or really dirty .. or coming at me so fast it would hurt my hands if i caught it lol.

Oh James, you shouldn't point out bad grammar and then use incorrect punctuation in the same sentence . (I'm talking about the ".." as an ellipsis rather than '...'.) * offtopic : To cjducote: The key words after "unexpectedly" are "try to".

If this person were someone friendly and wasn't angry with me, I would try to catch it, cause I would know that they wouldn't want to hurt me; but if they were someone not friendly or if they were for some reason angry with me, I would most likely duck, cause I'd be afraid they would try to hurt me. lol * offtopic : A non repeated poll! Thank God! At least, I think it's not repeated.

85 posts	It depends on what the item is. If it's smaller than a loaf of bread I attempt to catch it, unless it's explosive, sharp, or filled with poisonous gas. =]

12,769 posts	It depends on what it is. Using my crazy awesome psychic powers I know what it is and then decide. In actual fact I'm crazy clumsy and even if I know that something going to be thrown to me I duck.

13,220 posts	unless it's a rather large object (in which case i'd duck), I'd probably "try to" catch it. of course the result would be more like me getting hit in the head, me totally dropping whatever the object is, or me throwing my hands up in some defensive blocking position- then knocking the object to the floor. maybe a little of all three.
