If I didn't, the army wouldn't like it one bit. A 1st Lt. without the ability to read a compass ?

ofcours I do!! since I was 7 yers old I've been a girl scout and if you can't read a map and/or campass you'll get lost in the woods.

for me it's a good knowledge that I have used uotsidethe scouting-activity. you never know when your GPS brakes down so learn how to read the only thing that can help you when your all alone without GPS or mobilephone or something else that can guid you home...

yes I do..I've been a boy scout since I was 10...I can read it and I'm very good in using it in orientation and maps when we do long walks...I'm always the one carrying the map ...it's very useful if you need to find were you are

Yes, we have orientation in our school, and once every year we have a big competition, I usually come in as one of the 5 best of both boys and girls We actually have the competition 19/5, so it's pretty soon

Haha, I didn't know it was possible to know how to use a computer but not know how to use a compass. Of course I know how!

Um, sort of. In theory. But if I actually had to use one, I would probably mess it up and get the complete wrong direction We did orientation at school camp, I was sh*te
