8,779 posts	yes, i was a girl scout when i was a kid, we'd use compass coordinates every now and then during some silly activities. and all that knowledge came in handy when i decided to be a pirate.

1,478 posts	yes, i do. sixth grade camp was where i first learned how because we did this thing where we were drivin into the middle of nowhere and we had to find our way back to camp and build a fire and what not. But i dont think that its hard at all.

450 posts	yay! I suggested this one! that's like two now... anyway I don't know how to read a compass, but i think I really should take the time to get a lesson in it because I hear it stupiedly easy.

358 posts	Erm...sort of. As in I could tell you which direction we were facing, but that's about it - which is stupid considering I've just done a whole unit of maths on navigation...
