33,442 posts	It all depends on the frequency of the ticking .. I had a replica of an old medieval clock once in wood ... and it would go .. tock .......... tock ..........tock that was a very comforting noise really. The prob is that it only runs for a few hours .. hehehe

153 posts	Another of my polls They don't bother me because I'm a heavy sleeper. I once slept through a loud bell on a ferry which woke up the rest of my family. By the way the only way I know that is because my mother told me but I believe her lol

235 posts	I find it hard to get to sleep, full stop. I think I have mild insomnia But I used to share a room, and my sister's clock would always be ticking, so it doesn't make it any harder. But I have a digital clock and my watch has mysteriously gone missing, so there's no ticking now * offtopic : I had an exam today, and the weather was hot. Just my luck to be stuck indoors doing maths all day On the plus side, that was my last exam

8,132 posts	I find the phrasing of the question funny. It's not supposed to stop ticking! I can't remember if my alarm clock ticks or not. I don't use it anymore cause it's sort of broken. I think it ticks, and no, it doesn't bother me
