Well, yes and no.

Most people say they would like to be famous, being recognised and wealthy.
But you can be to famous, when you don't get a minutes peace to yourself, when they're always paps with cameras following you around.

So i suppose yes i would in a way, but not too famous.

Actually, it depends on the field. If I was a famous psychologist it'd be bloody awesome (unless of course it was for making a major mistake or more).

Not really... I mean, to an extent it would be cool. I'd probably have plenty of money, and I could reach out to more people, and it'd feel nice to be well liked.

But I think I'd get sick of it fast. I really value my privacy and a simple life.
And I'd rather have a few people that love me than a ton of people who like me and a ton of people who hate me.

umm...I'd guess that I'd like to actually have a talent which I'm good at, for example music...and I'd wish for others to like my music (which of course, I want to be meaningful)...

but the *fame* would be...weird, like if you were stalked...I'd just like to be known/respected/liked by my friends, for who I am

No. Fame doesn't always equal $$$, and that'd be the main if not only part I'd enjoy.

Yeah I'd want to be a film director, like Sofia Coppola, because at least you'll have more privacy than like actors.

A person who embarks on any type of career in the public eye, should have a strong sense of personal identity before even attempting to take that ride. Otherwise, a person can become lost between the image perceived by the public and one's true self. I believe many fame junkies are very troubled individuals who have an overblown desire for public attention, as if they are trying to fill some deepseeded emptiness inside of them. On the other hand, I believe there are those who are genuine givers of themselves, who have their heads on fairly straight, and who can deal with the intrusions into their private lives very well. Then, there are the fame tramps, who simply sell their souls for the almighty dollar, who have zero self respect, and who basically will do anything to keep their image in the public domain.
