112 posts	this is a successful site lol...the pool was up for like not even 10 seconds and there were already 7 votes...are there really people camping in front of the monitor waiting for the next pool like I did this time just for fun? ...I don't think glasses are associated with smart people although that tends to be a stereotype...now a days is more of a trend than a symbol of inteligence wearing glasses

10,814 posts	they look smart at first, but i let go of that stereotype when i met a couple of dumb people with glasses. yes, they exist, they're all over the place actually.

493 posts	Nope. I know some pretty dumb people who wear glasses. and I know some really smart people who don't wear glasses. Wearing glasses doesn't make you dumb or smart, it means you have problems with your sight.

194 posts	Nope. However, I associate them with people having bad eyesight. Well, in fact, it depends on the type of the glasses, some of them does make the person look smart. It's strange to see someone have new ones though, because it changes their general image. I've got lots of problems with glasses now sadly... Something always happens to them, and my current one looks too feminine. :S * offtopic : Nice random question by the way.

Whenever I've put on my glasses I've got the "you look more academic/intelligent" comments, but if I wore them all of the time I don't think people would think of them the same way. A lot of my friends who wore glasses, when they take them off they look very different and difficult-to-get-used-to without them. But when I see people with glasses, I usually think "Oh, that person must need glasses for their eyesight". (Or "Oh they're nice!" if it's a fashion accessory!)

441 posts	no cause people that i know with glasses aren't very smart and i don't wear glasses but everyone thinks i'm a genus...why i'm not sure...but with some people i guess it makes them look smart but i don't associate glasses with smart people, i just associate glasses with people who don't see as well as most, like most people i think should

50 posts	Now that I think about it, ya, some ppl who do wear glasses r retards > as ppl pointed out b4, they're just blind from too many gameboy (like me) and sometimes it's just generic...(me again) and of course there are smartass ppl without glasses... the top 2 students in my grade (in my opinion) don't have glasses... 949 posts	No, so many people I know wear glasses and they are not smart, they just have poor vision. I wear glasses and people say I look smarter wearing them, I find that odd.

738 posts	no..i wear glasses, but i'm not smart..just "average" i had glasses since i was 6, and yeah most of the time people say you wear glasses, you must be smart. the answer is "no"
