22,056 posts	It'll go to either Lewis or Jones but it honestly deserves to go to Viggo, Depp is the teen favourite and sweeney todd was entertaining, but Mortesson in Eastern Promises was the performance by an actor in anything I've ever seen by all right Eastern Promises should win, if you haven't seen it do yourself a favour, it was awesome, and it has the most brutal fight scene in any movie ever, honestly i'd rank it as irresponsibly violent

10 posts	Johnny Depp 1. Because I fancy the pants off him but 2.despite that, he is amazing in Sweeny Todd like one of the 1st times very few times i've ever like appriciated an actor for doing his job well I can't imagine any one else being that good at the part he was out of this world in it!

504 posts	Go figure Depp would be voted for because he's "hot". He is a good actor, but not the best. I haven't actually seen any of these films, but I heard Viggo Mortensen was good ("award-worthy") in Eastern Promises.

11,140 posts	"Sweeny Todd like one of the 1st times very few times i've ever like appriciated an actor for doing his job well" Depp isn't who I voted for but he is one of my favourite actors. He isn't in any of my favourite films, I just think he does a very good job most of the time and I like the variation of characters he's played. Once again though, Sweeney Todd should not have been turned into a musical and Johnny Depp isn't a particularly great singer. As (like I said) I haven't seen any of these films, I judged critically and chose my answer based on the film title that interested me most, although I'm reconsidering after reading fishmunky's post.

19,812 posts	have to agree with Ant on that one.. Eastern Promises was an awesome movie and that fight scene was insane. I'd like to see it go to either Viggo or George Clooney(who i voted for).

662 posts	I've only seen Sweeney Todd. Johnny Depp was very good in it. But I can't really say that he deserves an oscar above all of the others......because I haven't seen them. Honestly - I don't really care about the awards. If I thoroughly enjoyed something - that's enough for me
