I can't imagine there being alot of people who come on here who listen to it...
It's a lyrical site.
Classical music doesn't have it.

| Anyone who thinks classical is boring should check out a group named Bond. Classical with a modern edge. Check out 'Speed', it's a personal fave of mine. And they're hot too!
Myleene Klass did an awesome piano version of Linkin Park's Crawling, it's well worth a listen. | 16-08-2007 01:28 Private_Secret | 251 posts

| I used to listen to classical music when I was younger. Now I do it very rarely... I think it's not boring to listen to it if you're doing something else meanwhile. To only listen to it laying on a bed is kinda boring indeed.. But if you listen to it while you're sailing on the Net, for example, I think it can be relaxing and pleasant. =) | 16-08-2007 02:23 LauraGeldart | 2 posts
| Wow, classical boring?
More young people definitely need to expand their horizons. Realize that just the same as our Top 40 ranges from Linkin Park to Kelly Clarkson to 50 Cent to Carrie Underwood; classical music also has a wide variety of styles. I think a lot of people would be suprised at how much classical music they are actually familiar with.
Flight of the Bumblebee was used recently in some of the Honeybee comercials. If you grew up watching Disney cartoons (think Bugs Bunny) many of them were animated to classical pieces; The Bunny of Seville is animated to The Barber of Seville Overture. For those Americans, recall Fourth of July fireworks, you've probably heard them done to the 1812 Overture, the cannon booms, it draws excitement. There are so many different emotions that can be pulled from classical music. The whole Disney Fantasia series is based on just that; images that were provoked by the music.
Anyway, I'm just rambling here I suppose, but I just think that classical music is so imporant. | 16-08-2007 02:30 R_K_O |
