good question. ive always wondered the point of that! in a way it does as the number 9 is less than the number 10 but it's ony 1p difference. if that makes any sense at all. . .

Anyhoo, I voted no. Because when I see a price as 9.99 I just think "that'll cost around 10 then". For some reason my brain thinks that they're pretty much the same

0h n0ez, $10 equals double digits - must be a rip off! 1% off sale!

I find it ridiculously stupid when adverts say "Under £1000!" and it's £999.95

Sure, it sounds cheaper, but I don't know anybody who is so concerned about a penny.

of course it sounds cheaper... it is cheaper!

thats why companies do that, to get peeps to buy their product by getting them to think it's cheaper. its a phsycological thing! but doing that, they can't be had up for false advertising, because 9.99 is cheaper than 10.00

No, but I do agree with hikarikou about $0.99 does sound cheaper then $1.00, which makes no sense, 'cause in both it's only a penny difference.

and plus, there is a great corner shop in Bayswater that still do penny sweets, so i waste my penny's there!!! how fun!
