I mean think about it, did money: * buy your friends? * get you where you are today? * make you the person you are or will become? I swear once you become older, you will see that money isn't anything. It will get you what you need in life, i.e. food, clothes and a roof over your head. But it will never buy you happiness/love or anything else. People that are moeny hungry are stupid and don't realize that you sometimes lose people that you really care about. People with money think they are too good for every one else, when realiy they are still people but they are stuck up little assholes

14 posts	it definatly should not make you happy. although for soem people, it does. you shouldnt make money your happiness, or anything material, because you could lose everything someday and then, would you be happy? i really hope you would, but i no that some people would not be happy at all...pretty sad and pathetic. ya know, its the hard times that make people realize that they can do without, and still be really happy people. just because they arent accomplishing a bunch of "great things" by todays standards because they dont have a lot of money, a big house, a nice car, even a boyfriend/girlfriend that kind of stuff doesnt mean that they actually are stupid, but they are still considered stupid because they arent cheap, materialistic people like everyone else. they look for things that matter to make them happy. and its those kind of people that are truly accomplishing a lot. no one thinks so, but they are. yeah, sorry that was so long. i just wanted to tell everone what i thought. and i no some people will think what i said was lame and just a bunch of crap, but i dont reallly care.

2,772 posts	Well that would depend how much money. Money can't make you happy, but it can buy things to make you happy, perhaps. It can even buy love sometimes, not real love though.

21,489 posts	Of course it doesn't, Kate. But I am happy when I can listen to music, go places, do stuff. And for that I need money. I'd be happy without money too as long as I have friends and such.

21,489 posts	Aaah. True and all. But I'd like to see you be in great financial difficulties. Having problems getting ends to meet, and still say "oh I barely have money for food, but I am so darn happy anyway". To some extent money does make you happy. But of course if you have no friends, no good life, money can't fix that.

7,925 posts	Thinking about it, I think it does. But it doesn't bring this eternal happiness kind, instead it's a short timing happiness that most probably relies mostly on materialistic happiness. When i get something I've wanted to have, i do surely get happy, yet it doesn't last for too long. Other than that, money makes people greedy and selfish. As for true happiness, i don't know where does it come from. Never had the pleasure to experience it.

Money Is one of the thing to help you to get the happiness the u r looking for... -LOVE -HEALTH -MONEY What if u r about to die... and u have a lot of money... but money dont keep u alive... so think about it.... any ways a pick #1 (yes) make u happy.... but u need more things to really be happy...

Well anyways money makes people happy only momentarily because money can only get you material things which do not show affection toward you like things that money cannot buy things such as friendship and love and caring for people.

792 posts	Yes i think it does to a certain extent, however people do need other things in life to make them happy in my opinion. For example, you need money so you can have food, clothes, somewhere to live etc. Lack of money would obviously make it difficult to provide these things for yourself/family, therefore making you unhappy. Having said this, I don't belive that money can buy happiness. You need friends, family, love to keep you happy.
