i dont think money BUYS happiness, but if u have money, i think ur gonna at least be happy that ur not poor. (i think some people may have misunderstood the question, lol)

oh really? some people have EVERYTHING u could ever think of, except maybe children, something u CANT buy, and sometimes a kid is what some people really want. so NO, money cant buy happiness, cuz u can have all the riches in the world and still not have something like children, or maybe just emotional fulfillment altogether

I said yes... BUT it's not the only thing that makes you happy, it's just one factor. Seriously, I get upset/depressed when I'm broke because it's just stressful. Therefore, more money=less stress=happy. Of course love and friends and everything are more important, but money is a good thing too.

IT DOSNT REALY MAKE YOU HAPPY IT DOSE MAKE YOU. MONEY ISNOT THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL THE LACK OF MONEY IS. THERE ARE TON OF PORE PEOPLE THAT ARE HAPPY BACUS THERE IS WORSE THINGS THAN BEING PORE. money brings temporary satisfaction and security in this material world....thus it brings happiness and peace of mind

IMPORTANT

money in some ways makes us happy...
just take a look at this some instances..
if you want something or basically you need something to fullfil something

or it just you need to accomplish somehting

you have to satisfy your need

isn't money has something to do with it..

lets face it money really does
we may say it is very much important to have your family friend...or any one whose beside but then in real life we need money

its a subset of our life we need it and we really are depending on

its not because money can give you financial contentment on the other way around ....just a bit kelangan talaga ng pera...

I think that's true... happiness is a strong feeling deep inside of you. Maybe money can give you PLEASURE, but I don't think it makes you happy.

money can give temporary happiness, but it cant buy happiness, some people have all the money in the world but still arent satisfied, cause it takes more then material things..... hmm

Good point belinda.

I said yes 'cause to a certain extent money does make me happy. 'cause it means i can go out with friends, use it to live off, buy driving lessons, buy clothes, etc.
But without money i'd be homeless, so that in itself is a reason why money makes me happy.

However the lack of it is one of my major causes of stress so it can also make me unhappy.

Money can't buy you what you have.

Money doesn't buy you friends, happiness, love or anyother emotion.

To me money is useless, yeah it puts clothes on my back and food in my stomach but that is about it.

Money has no influence on me

Can you imagine someone who as no money whatsoever, I mean absolutely nothing, that person obviously wouldn't be happy...they'd be hungry more than anything. But give them some money and they'd be happy, money would be the most important thing in the world to them.

On a more superficial note, my mum has never had much money, she's disabled and so we have to live on disability living allowance. Now that i'm 18, i'm going to university to do my degree and hopefully get a better paying job, I want to have enough money to not worry as much as my mum has had to for the last 18 years. But thats not the point i'm making, when the summer holidays start in a few weeks time, my mum is going to lose some money that she got for looking after me so the small budget thet we're already on will get even less even though i'm going to be here for another 6 months....a little bit more money would definitely make us happy at the moment.

To an extent yes.
We need money to survive, and then to buy ourselves some treats, and to gain a sense of status.
I feel Maslows (hierarchy) and Herzbergs (hygine and motivator) theories is true to my life.
But i also feel that it depends who you are, so Mcgregors theories X and Y can apply.

Who can tell I'm a business Studies Student? lol.
